The Thousand Kyoto is a hotel I will recommend in a heart beat. Location wise, it's a walking distance to JR station, Kyoto tower and Isetan mall. All within 2 minutes away. Our room was enormous. It has a sophisticated minimalist design which was so relaxing and comforting. The bed was California king and the pillows were the biggest ones I've.

The Thousand Kyoto. The Thousand Kyoto. Out room was modern, impeccably clean and done in grey tones with pale wood accents. The carpet was soft and plush, the beds were huge (two twin beds pushed together), the linens white and crisp. The bathroom sparkled and, of course, there was the fancy Japanese toilet.
