I have the TECHNICS SA 800 and I also have the TECHNICS SA 600.. You don't notice the power difference until certain passages in music with percussion kick drum or certain vocals in the mid-range.. More subtle in the mid-range though.. They sound a lot alike and you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference with the extra wattage..
