Entrees come with a choice of soup (yes, there are gluten-free ones!) or salad. (These combinations start at $12.) We both opted for salads—Caesar for me and house for Mr. GFE. The greens, and other toppings like Parmesan cheese and Mr. GFE's croutons (not gluten-free), were extremely fresh and tasty.

Carrabba's—a solid choice for gluten free Italian if you aren't in the mood for pasta, and you also like to eat meat. The gluten free entrées do all revolve around meat, but the Chicken Bryan is delicious. It's hard to beat the combination of goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, and lemon butter sauce that tops this chicken. Better yet, I have celiacs and I've eaten Carrabba's.

Carrabba's does have strong choices for gluten free meals but you still need to have a discussion with your waiter. A call ahead will help as well. Prepare yourself as much as possible. If you are getting the pasta and cross contamination is a worry for you, then you certainly need to ask about the waiter.
