The Kirkland Signature Napa Valley Red Blend 2021 is a $10.99 Costco exclusive. Costco often names the producer of their Signature wines, but not here. This is a Bordeaux Blend with 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 10% Malbec, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. Carmenere is the other Bordeaux -approved Red grape, but it is seldom used.

The Kirkland Napa Red Blend has really come a long way over the years. Since it's earliest intro as the 2014 Kirkland Meritage, the price has steadied at $10.99, and the ratings have climbed, always a good trend. For the 2021 vintage, we were happy to see the $10.99 price tag once again, and the placard included some pretty high ratings.

The Kirkland Signature Napa Valley Red Blend is available exclusively at Costco for $10.99. Like many of the Kirkland Signature wines, it is cellared and bottled by DC Flynt MW Selections. Up until the 2020 vintage the wine was made by Glenn Hugo, the winemaker at Girard Napa and B.R. Cohn, but since 2020 the label does not specify.

There have been a hodge podge of different Kirkland red blends from Washington state over the years, but staying true to the labelling and Costco item number, this would mark only the second official vintage of this wine. Costco's price for this vintage held from the prior year at $16.99 which is always a welcome sight.
